- Today’s lecture guest is Sayato Nakata. He was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido. He graduated Ritsumeikan University in 2015 and Hitotsubashi University for master degree in2017. He joined EY Japan (the world’s four largest consulting firms) as a new grad by 2017. And then, in 2021, he moved to Kyoto and joined SPORTS X, a sports-related start up company. When he was in middle school,he built a well, and he thought about why there is a gap between rich and poor. He was born a girl, but he is a boy. Finally, he changed his name. His motivation is how make better to find where place feel comfortable, and just keep comfortable all his life. His dream in junior high school, “Through sports, create a society where everyone can live as they are.” Ococias Kyoto AC was close to his dream. Ococias Kyoto AC is to be matured and realize growth both in business & football. It generated some economics activities: “Football economic zone.” with clubs as hubs. He was very surprised at foreign culture. He and his team members drink water while playing soccer, because they are mainly bussines men. However foreign players don’t drink while playing soccer. Japanese thinking is much water for activities. Through soccer, you can get involved with so many different people that the elderly people, high school, global and career after retirement and economic activities occur.I think this project is very good for Japan, where local estrangement is considered a problem. I was also impressed by his way of life.I felt that the result of his actions to achieve something about what he was interested in made his dream come true, and I also thought that I needed more effort.
